As an African American woman, originally born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Courtney believes that her personal experiences catapulted her into the field of Social Work. She is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker certified by the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia, who have worked in a range of settings that includes adults, and adolescents. Courtney’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology from Delaware State University and a Master’s of Social Work from Howard University with a focus on Family and Child Welfare.
Courtney’s desire is to provide support to young adults, and individuals within the LGBTQ community, as they navigate through this journey called life. Using a strength’s based approach, she is dedicated to empowering others to view themselves as resilient, despite their past trauma related experiences or life challenges. As a therapist, it is her goal, is to create a safe nurturing space for clients to heal and grow through their therapeutic journey. Your journey to the best version of yourself awaits you!
